SOLO SWING
* BEG
For all those who want to work better with their body and discover jazz stepping that comes directly from movement and music. The course is taught with an emphasis on playfulness – not only will you learn jazz steps, but you will break them down into small parts, exploring and transforming them into entirely new movements.
Ideal for beginners and those who already have experience with dance and want to develop further. In the course, you will look not only at the steps themselves and their technical aspect, but especially at how to transform them into unique movement combinations with ease and joy. Join us and discover the magic of dance with a playful atmosphere!
The course will be led alternately and sometimes together by Kamča and Terka Veselá – two experienced teachers who will show you the technique and the joy of movement.
ATTENTION! This course only runs in the winter term!
* ROUTINES
For swingers who have done at least 2 years of couple dancing and enjoy jazz steps or for those who already have experience with other solo dancing. This boundary is more of a guideline and exceptions can be made for enthusiasts after consultation with Klara, so don’t hesitate to ask.
The Routines course is conceived as a two-year cycle, so those who have already completed one year can continue, because we will learn different choreography again. This time around you can look forward to a lesser known version of Trickeration – The Queen Swings Basie, Charleston Stroll, Doin’ The Jive, Dean Collins Shim sham, maybe Big Apple, and if we’re really in a hurry we’ll give ourselves a challenge in the form of Killer Boogie.
* 60+ BEG/ 60+ INT
This level is for those who prefer the joy of dancing to the complexity of the figures and for those who prefer a slower pace of dancing and teaching.
INT level is for those who have already done some Solo Swing with us
Attention! Of course, active seniors can apply for any course with us! Age is not a “box”! Courses 60+ were created at the request of our older “students”, for whom the pace in regular courses was just too much, but they wanted to pursue their love, i.e. dance, anyway.
