Terka is one of our young talents. She dances beautifully and a lot. It would almost seem that she never misses an opportunity to do what she enjoys most. Just dance.
How did you come to swing?
I’ve always been terribly attracted and fascinated by tap dancing. I remember in Singing in the rain specifically, I used to play the tap dancing scenes over and over again and… and I’d stare and I wouldn’t understand. When I moved from the Highlands to Prague at the age of 20, I was looking for classes and came across Zig-Zag. The step didn’t happen in the end, because I unexpectedly fell under the spell of balboa and for that one I needed a lindy hop… And that’s where I am now. 😀 I’m still motivated to tap dance and I have nice shoes for him too, so I guess he’ll still get it!
Your favourite dance figure?
The one that fits the rhythm and makes you laugh (for me, very often a pose of an orc character).
Who do you like to teach and why?
The ones who want to improve, and don’t forget to have fun in the process. Because that’s what it’s all about 🙂
