Anetka started dancing with us in her “sweet teens” and we are happy that her love for swing has not passed and she has grown up to the position of a teacher. This year you can meet her at Acrobatics and Lindy Hop lessons.
How did you come to swing?
Through a friend I originally danced hip hop with for a few years. At the same time, she was also taking tap classes at Zig-Zag, where she was introduced to swing at her first ZZ summer dance school. She liked it a lot and so did I when she showed me what it was all about. Because I didn’t know that at the time, when I was 14. And since she came across it at a time when we were fed up with hip hop, ready to quit and start a new dance chapter, this introduction to swing came in handy. So I started swing dancing and I never stopped.
Your favourite dance figure?
Hmm… Sugar push, I guess. I always felt like I was just smooth sailing my way through this figure.
Who do you like to teach and why?
Anyone who likes to learn. Because it’s always better to teach someone who likes to learn than someone who doesn’t like to learn, isn’t it.
Your dance inspiration?
Klárka Hutečková definitely, from my swing beginnings.
